The second grade Heritage Project taught the students about their ancestors’ backgrounds – and culminated on Wednesday with a tasty potluck with foods from around the world!
It’s the 14th annual year for the informative research projects which the students then presented to their classmates.
For the project, students worked mostly at home, as well as some in class, to research where their ancestors came from. They made flags of the specific country, created a family tree and even outfitted a large paper doll (some kids chose to dress an actual doll) in an outfit that can be seen in the country the student researched.
What great projects! Excellent work, students!
