We Listen With Our Ears: Do You Hear What I Hear?

Do you hear what I hear?

Last week, Ms. Nicole’s “Dragonfly” prekindergarten class learned about their five senses. After reading several books about hearing, the Dragonfly class decided to make telephones. That’s because one of the students saw the idea in one of the books they read and asked Ms. Nicole if they could make telephones.

Ms. Nicole asked the students what they thought would happen after they made the telephone. Most of the students thought they would be able to hear their friend talking!

Besides the students being disappointed that their handmade telephones would not ring, Ms. Nicole says it was a great success to see how excited students were about their new class phones!

“It was a great learning experience to talk about how our hearing works,” said Ms. Nicole.
