Teachers and staff at Tucson Country Day School who work directly with children meet several times during the year for professional development, also known as staff development. These session are much like the lessons TCDS students get every day from their teachers.
This year, most of the staff development sessions have been run by Dr. Anders.

With the exception of last Wednesday’s PD, staff development sessions have taken place int the Music room down on the lower campus. The room has plenty of space for us to spread out on several tables so we can work together in groups on the assigned topic.
As you can see, every one participates in our PD sessions – Early Ed, K-5, Middle School, Resource, and Admin.
At last week’s staff development, we got to use the new MPR building. No lights yet, and no air conditioning — but lucky for all of us, it wasn’t too hot – inside or outside.
Yes, those are phones you see in our hands but we’re not texting. We’re learning how to use the Pinterest app on our cell phones.

At the end of the day, everyone agreed they had learned something and had fun doing it.
