TCDS Receives an AED Thanks to the Steven M. Gootter Foundation!

We are pleased to announce that Tucson Country Day School has received an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) from the local Steven M. Gootter Foundation and Fiesta Bowl Charities.

Since 2009, the Steven M. Gootter Foundation has donated and distributed hundreds of AEDs to schools, police and sheriff departments, places of worship, and recreational and public places throughout Southern Arizona. Should the need ever arise, this generous, lifesaving gift will be available for use at our school.

Thank you, Steven M. Gootter Foundation!

This past Friday, University of Arizona students – as well as one of the representatives from the Steven M. Gootter Foundation – came to school to train several staff members on the AED as well as give a brief training for CPR chest compression only.

Some of our students – and aftercare counselor Ms. Whitney – took a picture with the newly-donated AED.

A big thank you to the Steven M. Gootter Foundation!
