Our preschool and prekindergarten students put on an entertaining performance on Wednesday. The kids sang songs that included “All I Really Need” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”.
Art teacher Ms. S spent quite some time during art class working with the students to create the beautiful rainbow mural behind the kids while they sang.
Teachers, kids and their families enjoyed a potluck following the performance.
Way to go, teachers and students!
Preschool and prekindergarten classes held their annual Fall Performance and Potluck the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
This year’s theme focused on light and love. Children were asked to wear bright “light” colors – and come performance time, they were each donned with crowns featuring the moon, sun and a star.
The kids were adorable as they sang songs such as “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”, “Oh, Mr. Sun” and “This Little Light of Mine”. The three- to five-year olds also performed movements to the songs. Each of our students did a wonderful job and happily found their families after the performance to enjoy a tasty potluck brunch.
Excellent singing and performing, students!
A huge thank you to preschool and prekindergarten Music teacher Ms. Rena for her pianist skills during the performance (as well as all of her practice with the students) and also to preschool and prekindergarten Art teacher Ms. S for working with the students to create the beautiful mural backdrops.
A big thank you as well to all the parents and families – and our maintenance crew – who helped before the main event took place. Many parents were proactive and synergized as they arrived at school early to help teachers set up for the performance and potluck. This helped teachers begin with the end in mind.
