Students Treated to Navajo Tribe Presentation

Preschool and prekindergarten students were treated to a wonderful presentation on the Navajo culture in the MPR today.

Dr. Alberta Bahe  – a member of the Navajo tribe – visited the school to share her knowledge of Native American Studies. Dr. Bahe works on the Navajo reservation, and she also works at the University of Arizona as a cultural and educational liaison.

Dr. Bahe shared with our students about music, dance, clothing, language, literature and art of the Navajo people.
Our preschool and prekindergarten music teacher Ms. Rena helped present with Dr. Bahe.
Preschool and prekindergarten Champions – can you share what you learned about the Navajo culture with your families?
