Students Take to the Garden for Valuable Environmental Math Lesson

Mr. Fisher’s fifth grade class visited the school’s garden for a lesson on the environment while also incorporating math. As part of the assignment, students were asked to determine the area and perimeter of garden boxes. The students also discovered how many of the various variety of plants they could plant in each box given certain conditions.

A special thank you to Mr. Adam, who led this interesting lesson. Learning sure can be fun in the garden.
