Senora McDonald and Senora Elsa organized a wonderful Mexican celebration to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!
Middle school students helped with the activities while prekindergarten through fifth grade students participated in them.
Our Spanish teachers talked about the Cinco de Mayo battle and why and how the day is celebrated around the world. The students played traditional Mexican games like “Loteria” and “Cola al Burro”, and they also got creative by making mustaches and paper flowers, took funny pictures and danced “la Macarena”.
Senora Elsa says, “It was really fun!”
By the looks of these pictures, we definitely agree!
