Parent Information: School Lunch Program
Tucson Country Day School offers a school lunch every day of the week. Lunches are catered by local restaurants and include a main entree, fruit or vegetable, and a choice of milk or juice. The cost for a full lunch is $3.00. Students can purchase an extra main item for $1.50 if they choose. Middle School students have the option of purchasing a full lunch or individual items ala carte.
Students can pay for their lunches ahead of time and carry a credit for use when they buy a school lunch or they can bring money for lunch each time they buy.
A sample weekly lunch menu:
Monday: Quiznos Sub Sandwich or Chicken Noodle Soup and carrot sticks or celery
Tuesday: Orange Chicken from Panda Express (no "extras" available)
Wednesday: Pizza Hut pizza -- pepperoni or cheese -- with a salad
Thursday: Grilled Cheese Sandwich or Spaghetti with fruit and salad
Friday: Burger King chicken nuggets or hamburger with applesauce and Oreo cookies
Our school kitchen has never received lower than the top "E" rating from Pima County Health. |
