Parent-Teacher Conferences, Some Student Led, Successful and Educational

Last week’s parent-teacher conferences went smoothly and successfully.  All kindergarten through fifth-grade parents and many middle school parents spent time meeting with their child’s teachers and learning more about what is going on in their classroom.

Some of the conferences were student led – students ran the conference and shared exciting things going on in the classroom with their parents.

In Ms. Nicole’s prekindergarten class, students also led their parent-teacher conferences.

Ms. Nicole says she is very impressed with how well her Dragonfly students led their conferences. The kids took charge, made many valid points and answered many great questions that their parents asked. Ms. Nicole says she sat back and “assisted” when she was needed.

Our sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in the conferences – teachers and staff who worked long hours to prepare for each meeting; parents who made the time to attend conferences; and students who made special efforts to organize and present their work.

Nice job everyone!
