AIMS testing begins on Monday, April 14. We will assess students in 2nd through 8th grade Monday through Thursday. Friday, April 18 is Good Friday, and school is closed. Makeup assessments will be given the week of April 21.
Please make every effort to have your child(ren) in school the week of April 14. Students assess in the morning and afternoon. We ask parents not to schedule outside appointments that will cause a student to leave during the day. Once an AIMS testing session has started, a student must complete that piece of the assessment. If they leave during a session, they cannot return to complete that piece at a later time or date.
We do not want students or parents to worry or stress about taking the AIMS assessment. Our instruction is aligned to the standards students are expected to know at each grade level. They have been learning this material all year. The AIMS assessment is simply an opportunity for students to show what they know and for the State to make sure we are teaching the required standards. We ask each student to take their time and do their best in a calm and relaxed manner.
We offer all students snacks prior to our morning testing session. If you would like to donate snacks (granola bars, fruit snacks, etc.), please talk to Ms. Susie in the front office.
Please encourage our child(ren) to get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast each morning.
Each of our students are Champions, and we are confident everyone will do their best.
