How Candy Corn and Common Household Liquids Can Relate to the Scientific Method


Third grade has been busy learning about the scientific method!

Students kicked off the unit with an introduction to the scientific method – along with a great experiment. In the experiment, our young scientists developed a hypothesis, conducted an experiment and then revised their hypothesis as they worked to find out which common household liquids would dissolve candy corn. They students also were responsible for documenting changes to the candy corn.
