Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Kindergarten students kicked off Dr. Seuss’s birthday week by performing songs and reciting portions of Dr. Seuss’s book Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? Monday morning.

Mr. Nature – well-known in the Tucson community for his music, dance, art and storytime hours – led the four classes of kindergarten students in the performance. As a parent volunteer, Mr. Nature has been teaching the students songs and practicing reading the book.

The performance was to honor Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2 as well as celebrate him as an author and his contributions to children’s literature.

Preschool and prekindergarten students watched the kindergarten students’ lively  performance. A photographer from Arizona Daily Star even came out to take some pictures of the performance – two great pictures ran in Tuesday’s newspaper!PART95145676877068995IMG952016022995092500
