Kindergarten students kicked off Dr. Seuss’s birthday week by performing songs and reciting portions of Dr. Seuss’s book Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? Monday morning.
Mr. Nature – well-known in the Tucson community for his music, dance, art and storytime hours – led the four classes of kindergarten students in the performance. As a parent volunteer, Mr. Nature has been teaching the students songs and practicing reading the book.
The performance was to honor Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2 as well as celebrate him as an author and his contributions to children’s literature.
Preschool and prekindergarten students watched the kindergarten students’ lively performance. A photographer from Arizona Daily Star even came out to take some pictures of the performance – two great pictures ran in Tuesday’s newspaper!
