Girl Scouts Create Beautiful Blanket for Student in Need

Girl Scouts at TCDS created a beautiful blanket to give to Hannah, one of our 7th grade students who has stage 4 lymphoma.

Girl Scout troop leader Tracy Schmid met with Project Linus (www.projectlinus.org) member Rene to discuss some of Hannah’s favorite things that would be included on fabric for a blanket that the Girl Scouts would help make.

The girls got to color 15 fabric tiles with pictures, and then 15 more fabric tiles in blue, purple and green were added to make the blanket.

The girls gave it to Hannah’s younger brother to give to Hannah when he and his dad had a recent visit to Phoenix.
