First grade students sure can tell you about many ocean animals now.
Students recently learned about ocean animals during a science unit. The unit culminated in student presentations; the students paired up with a classmate and chose an ocean animal to research. They then made a “product” which showed what they learned.
The students’ final research written work included information about the animal’s habitat, diet, life cycle and other interesting facts.
Through all the research, the class learned about beluga whales, seahorses, clownfish, dolphins, sea turtles, manatees, sea otters, killer whales, great white sharks, octopi, and sea stars.
The students look like they had fun learning!
