What better time to study leaves than Fall?
That’s exactly what is taking place during preschool and prekindergarten Art teacher Ms. Sherrod’s art classes.
Students learned the parts of a leaf – blade, stem and veins. The kids got to use crayons and leaves to make rubbings of the leaves and drew lines to add more veins and make stems longer as well. After the students drew all the leaf parts, they added water colors to their leaves using sponge brushes.
Below are pictures of preschool students in Ms. Martha’s class creating their leaf artwork.
Ms. Sherrod says she is so proud of our Champion artists! You are doing a great job, students!
