Fairy House Construction Brings Out Imagination for Preschool and Prekindergarten Students

Preschool and prekindergarten students have been busy creating while using their imagination.

The students made fairy houses recently, using objects that they found.

Preschool students used coffee filters – as roofs – along with paper towel rolls.

Prekindergarten students used circles made from construction paper that they constructed to be cones for roofs. They glued the roofs and decorated them using moss, bark and other materials that they found.

Art teacher Mrs. Sherrod taught this art lesson as a fun way to review three-dimensional shapes while students shared what they knew about fairies from books that they were read.

Below are pictures of Ms. Ashleigh’s prekindergarten class and Ms. Nicole’s preschool class, in action as they create their artwork.
