Dress Down Day for Hurricane Irma Raises Hundreds!

Last Friday’s Dress Down Day raised $920.48 for Hurricane Irma victims in Florida!

Inspired by third grader Dominic, who proposed a Dress Down Day a couple of weeks ago for Hurricane Harvey victims in Texas – our school’s National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), third grade student Bobby and kindergarten student Zachary each individually stopped by the office on the same day to propose a Dress Down Day for those in Florida affected by Hurricane Irma.

Administration approved the Dress Down Day, and it was set for this past Friday. Zachary volunteered to make a poster to advertise the day.

We got all the Champions who proposed this recent Dress Down Day together on Friday to snap a few pictures. *Not all NJHS were able to jump in for the picture.

This week, students who proposed the Dress Down Day received “Matter of Pride” t-shirts for demonstrating a positive example of helping others and being a leader.

Thank you, Champions, for being so caring. We are proud of you!
