Preschool and prekindergarten students are creating sculptures with loose parts and items they found as well as recycled household items.
First students drew plans for their sculptures with a partner. Then, they built the sculptures using objects students and teachers found – most were recycled household items.
The kids were given tape to assemble parts. At the end of the art session with Ms. Sherrod, students took apart their sculptures so the next class could reuse the items.
Below, Ms. Gabby’s preschool class engages in their sculpture making.
