Meet Mrs. Shannon Tresvik

  • The best part about teaching at TCDS: Feeling a sense of community. We all take care of each other.
  • I am a native of Tucson! I have lived here for more than 35 years.
  • I have several pets. I have a dog named Georgie, a cat named Desi and some fish.
  • Favorite vacation destinations: San Francisco, the beach and Disneyland
  • Favorite free-time activity as a child: I loved to read, especially the Ramona Quimby books because I identified with her. They were my favorite.
  • A fun fact most people don’t know about me: I spent a summer in Europe as a nanny.
  • Favorite place to relax: I enjoy the beach when it is warm outside.
  • If I could meet one person from any point in time, I would like to meet Barbara Walters because she had met a lot of fascinating people and had a lot of stories to tell.
  • Unique facts about me: * I have worn glasses since I was four years old. I earned my master’s degree from NAU.
  • My true color for my personality is blue. I always try to be kind and loving.

Meet Mrs. Alexandra Carlson

(Mrs. Carlson is Ms. Shannon’s long-term substitute while Ms. Shannon is on maternity leave.)

Alexandra Carlson comes to Tucson Country Day School with a unique background. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Journalism and Spanish. Alexandra held many positions at Arizona Public Media, also known as PBS, for four years and worked in advertising and public relations for two years for a number of local businesses until she finally decided to start a career in teaching. Alexandra’s husband is also a teacher and teaches circuit card repair for the Air Force at Davis Monthan Air Force Base. With great joy and excitement, Alexandra and her husband will be welcoming their first child in October.

Meet Mrs. Becki Ahrendt

Becki Ahrendt began teaching third grade at Tucson Country Day School in February 2017 after being a guest teacher here. Her two daughter both attended TCDS through eighth grade and are now attending Sahuaro High School where Jenna is a freshman and Sierra is a junior. Becki graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

Becki has lived in Tucson since July of 1995. She has been married to her husband John, a telecommunications technician, for 19 years now and is excited to celebrate their 20th anniversary in March. Becki’s passions (besides her family) are traveling to Northern Arizona where she grew up, camping, reading, cooking and crocheting things like Star Wars and Marvel characters.

Meet Mrs. Pam Hubble

My name is Pam Hubble, and although I may be a new teacher this year at TCDS, my own three children have attended this school since 2010, and my husband has taught here the last six years as well. I am so excited and honored to be teaching third grade this year here at Tucson Country Day School.

My youngest child just graduated eighth grade last year and started high school at Sahuaro this year. My other two children have already graduated high school. My son is starting at the University of Arizona this fall, and my oldest daughter has blessed us with two loving and adorable granddaughters (ages 16 months and 3 months old).

I have lived in Arizona since 1984, graduated from the U of A, and I have been married for 25 years this September. My favorite color is navy blue. I enjoy eating steak, pizza, Mexican food and chocolate! Outside of school, I have many hobbies that I enjoy. I LOVE to play with my granddaughters and watch them grow and learn. I like to go camping and play board games with my family. I enjoy being crafty by creating greeting cards, making homemade soaps and scrapbooking (when I have spare time). My true Color is GOLD (with a hint of blue).
