 Meet Ms. Erin Kotel

Erin Kotel is excited to begin her 14th year teaching at Tucson Country Day School! Her entire teaching career has been at TCDS, and she is grateful for that. Erin has taught first grade for 14 years. Teaching has always been a passion for Erin. She also has a love for learning, and she hopes that her students also learn to love learning as much as she does. Erin has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education as well as a reading endorsement.

In addition to teaching full-time, Erin works part-time at Ross. She has two adult sons – one lives in Tucson, and the other one lives in California. In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

 

 

 Meet Mrs. Denise Fiore

Denise Fiore is excited to begin her 17th years teaching at Tucson Country Day School! She loves working at TCDS and feels likes she is part of a big, supportive family. Denise has taught first grade and kindergarten during her time at TCDS. Teaching has always been a passion for her. Denise has her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education as well as a reading endorsement.

Denise has two sons – one who is a TCDS graduate and is now at Sahuaro High School, and her younger son is going into 7th grade here at TCDS. In her spare time, Denise enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, reading and spending time in the White Mountains.

 

 

 Meet Mrs. Emily Smith

Emily Smith has been working as a teacher at Tucson Country Day School since 2006. She has taught third grade, second grade and is now teaching first grade. Emily has a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Arizona. She is married to a high school math teacher. Emily likes to spend time swimming, hiking and walking her two dogs.

 

 Meet Mrs. Diane Crenshaw

Diane Crenshaw has been working at Tucson Country Day School as a first grade teacher since 2016. She also taught art class during this summer’s Camp Adventure. Diane has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona and has been teaching both art classes and academic classes since 2008.

Diane and her husband were married in July 2016 on a cliff on Mt. Lemmon. Her husband is an architect and is currently designing custom steel doors and windows. Diane and her husband collectively have since children ranging in age from 16 to 29. Included in their family are two dogs named Jersey and Stella and two cats named Boots and Zoe.

Art is a favorite pastime of Diane’s. She enjoys painting, drawing and sculpting. Diane also likes to spend her time hiking and camping. Family game or movie nights are important to her as well, and with her large group, it is always festive and fun!
