Art class is turning black and white!
Preschool and prekindergarten students joined Art teacher Ms. S to discover creating art with black and white tempera paints.
Students got to paint a subject of their choice using their imagination. Ms. S says that many students mixed black and white together to discover grey!
Ms. Martha’s prekindergarten students noticed that when you add black to the grey – the grey paint gets darker. In addition, while creating, the observed that when more white paint is added to grey, the grey paint becomes lighter. What great observations, students!
The pictures below are of Ms. Martha’s and Ms. Amber’s prekindergarten class hard at work creating black and white – and grey – artwork.
