Admissions: Why TCDS?
Founded in 1968 and located on a beautiful 10 acre campus, Tucson Country Day School is a traditional, yet "state of the art", research based school. We believe in a personalized learning environment with a low teacher to student ratio. K-5 enjoys 20-22 students in each classroom while 6th-8th have no more than 26 students per instructor. We place a premium on character development, respect, etiquette and personal responsibility.
Our curriculum includes the core subjects of language arts, mathematics, reading, social studies, science, art, music, physical education, Spanish and technology. It is aligned with and exceeds state standards as required by the Arizona Department of Education.
We also believe in positive reinforcement for all students and take a firm stand in teaching manners, respect and responsibility.
Rated as an "Excelling" public school for 2007, 2008 and 2009. |
