About Us: Staff
Administration
Our highly qualified staff enables TCDS to continue to be a leader among Arizona charter schools. Each staff member is meticulously screened and interviewed to ensure that their talents, skills, experience and commitment are at the highest of levels. Below you will find a quick synopsis for each of our administrative team which has over 100 years of combined educational experience. Parents are invited to review the resumes of any of our administration or teachers.
Founder: Mr. Richard Cooper
Masters in education administration and former teacher with over 49 years of educational experience.
Principal: Dr. Mark Saliba, PhD
Masters in Agronomy, Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Taught middle school science and math for 9 years and has been working in school administration for 15 years.
Assistant Principal: Mrs. Cindy Kappler
Masters in Politics and Public Policy, Bachelors in Education. Former certified instructor with 9 years of experience.
Director of Student Services: Mr. Jack St. Amand
Retired Principal of 26 years with 12 years experience teaching middle school and high school. Masters in Social Science and Educational Leadership.
Business Manager: Ms. Amber Fernandez
Masters in Business Administration with three years of educational finance experience.
Exceptional Education Program Director: Mrs. Kelly Everett
Masters in Elementary Education, Bachelors in Special Education and Rehabilitation. Certified in Special Education (Cross Categorical, K-12) and Elementary Education K-8.
Early Childhood Director: Ms. Wanda Vinson
Ten years of managing and teaching preschool/preK programs following the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Certified in child development with over 19 years direct teaching experience.
Office Staff
Quick with a smile or word of encouragement, our office staff ensures continuity throughout the years. Our staff is not only very good at their administrative work, but they make a point to be there for our children as well. Whether it is a special birthday song, first aid for a skinned knee, a sympathetic ear or just helping students work through the inevitable ups and downs that come with growing up - students know our staff is there for them year after year.
