Tucson Country Day School focuses on school expectations to keep us all on the same page and working together. Expectations cover a number of areas and are divided into three different categories: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful.
The A House (Anonymous Achievers) spent a recent House meeting talking about schoolwide expectations. Small groups of students each took a specific topic and then created a presentation or skit that demonstrated the right (and sometimes the wrong) way to act on campus.
We started with a group discussion and wrote notes on the board. Then students broke into small groups to plan their presentation. One by one, each group presented their topic. The activity helped us all to focus on school expectations and to think about how we can help to model and follow them every day.
