100 Days of School!

Monday marked the 100th day of school, and students and teachers celebrated the day in a variety of ways.

Here are snapshots of some events classes took part in on campus to celebrate being in school for 100 days so far this year:

First up…

Preschool and Prekindergarten Celebrate 100 Days of School

In preschool and prekindergarten the Eagle class took a walk on the 100th Day of School…

…prekindergarten students completed math problems working up to 100, counted out objects to 100, did some 100th Day star artwork and shared ideas about “When I’m 100…” and “I would like 100…”…

…Preschool students used fingerprints to fill a paper plate with “gumballs” and moved while counting to 100…

Moving on to…

100th Day of School “Second Grade Fashion Show”

Did you catch sight of a colorful fashion show taking place on stage Monday? If so, that was the entire second grade – showing off their homemade t-shirt, all unique with 100 items on each shirt.

To begin the project, last week, second grade students were sent home with the following form to fill out:

As can be seen above, Adeana chose to decorate her shirt with 100 stickers because “there are lots of different kinds”.

Mrs. Rodriguez says other items chosen to decorate shirts included google-eyes, flowers, pompoms, Skittles, letters, erasers, stamps, leaves, ribbons, safety pins and more. Wow – way to be creative, kids!
