Ms. Amber’s prekindergarten class – the Elephants – celebrated the 100th day of school by counting in groups of ten to reach 100 – while making incredible hats!
Students drew pictures, shapes, tally marks (a concept in math they are currently learning) and more on long strips. After writing “100 days smarter” on the base of their hats, teachers Ms. Amber and Mr. Jordan synergized with the kids to put their hats together.
The Elephants each spent time at home counting out 100 small objects – and brought them to school to share.
More 100’s – the students wrote, drew and placed stickers in “My 100 Things Journal” in groups of ten. Ten groups of ten equals 100!
