Tucson Country Day School, where every student is a Champion, and every Champion is a Leader!  We are a tuition-free, public charter school serving students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. We also offer a private, tuition-based early education program for 3 & 4 year olds. TCDS has been dubbed “One of the highest performing schools in Tucson” by Eileen B. Sigmund, the President and CEO of the Arizona Charter School Association. As a public charter school, we know you have many options when it comes to choosing a school for your child. Early Childhood Education


Since 1968, Tucson Country Day School has offered exceptional and exciting programs for Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students. Learn More

Champion Athletics

TCDS competes in the Tucson Independent Athletic League (TIAL) and provides exceptional coaching for Flag Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Softball, Basketball and Cheerleading. Learn More

 

Art

Students in 2nd-5th grades attend Art class once each week; 6th graders attend every day for 12 weeks and 7th and 8th graders may attend Art as an elective for one semester. Learn More

Music

Students in K-5th grades attend Music class once each week; 6th graders attend every day for 12 weeks, and 7th and 8th graders can choose to participate in Band or Orchestra. Learn More

Physical Education

Students in K-5th grades attend a Physical Education class one time each week.  Middle School students attend PE either two or three times per week. Learn More

Academic Champion Education (ACE)

Academic Champion Education (ACE) is offered to students who test and place into gifted academic enrichment. Learn More

Elementary School


The Elementary School includes our kindergarten through fifth grade students.  Class sizes are limited to no more than 22 students per class. Learn More

Middle School


The Middle School includes our sixth, seventh and eighth grade students.  Class sizes are limited to no more than 26 students per class. Learn More

Spanish

Students in Kinder-5th grade attend Spanish class once each week. Middle School students attend Spanish for two or three days per week. Early Education students also attend a Spanish class once per week.

The Leader In Me

TCDS is proud to implement The Leader in Me, Franklin Covey’s whole school transformation process. It teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. Learn More

Technology

A strong emphasis is placed on studying technology skills enabling K-8 students to excel in a computer literate world. All classrooms are equipped with Smart Boards. Learn More
